In this three-day Summit, Government Executive, Nextgov, FCW, GCN, Washington Technology and Route Fifty welcome you to a week-long exploration into the past, present, and future of public sector employment.

Why should I attend the Workforce Summit in-person?

Government Speakers: Hear from public sector leaders from OPM, GSA, GAO, Department of Energy, Arlington County, City of Long Beach, and more!

Leadership Training: The Public Service Leadership Institute will lead an hour-long session on their Public Service Leadership Model.

Face to face Connections: Join us in-person to build relationships and network with your peers on February 9th during the last day of the Workforce Summit.

Headshot Station: Need an updated headshot? Stop by our Headshot Station to get your photo taken. We’ll even have a makeup artist on hand!

Refreshments: Kick off the last day of the Workforce Summit with a complimentary networking lunch! Throughout the day, we’ll provide coffee and refreshments. Stick around to end the day with a closing cocktail reception sponsored by WAEPA.

What is the format of the Workforce Summit?

The Workforce Summit is an in-person and virtual event (2 days virtual | 1 day in-person). February 7th through 8th will be comprised of virtual programming. February 9th will be in-person only at the Hilton Washington DC Capitol Hill (525 New Jersey Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001). All of the programming on February 9th will be recorded and shared with both virtual and in-person event registrants by February 16th.

Where will the in-person day of the Workforce Summit take place?

The last day of the Workforce Summit will take place at the Hilton Washington DC Capitol Hill located at 525 New Jersey Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001.

Is there a fee to attend the Workforce Summit?

The Workforce Summit is free to attend for government/military, media, and academic employees.

The fee for government contractors, private sector employees, and retirees to attend is $495. This fee covers access for the three-day Summit. All of the programming on February 9th will be recorded and shared with both virtual and in-person event registrants by February 16th.

How do I virtually tune in to the Workforce Summit?

At the time of the Summit, please head to the event homepage  and select “Tune in Now”from the menu in the top right corner of your screen. When prompted, enter the email address you used to register. Please note that the “Tune in Now” tab will not be visible until February 7, 2023.

Troubleshooting: If you’re experiencing any technical difficulties accessing the event, try refreshing your Internet browser or changing browsers. If you are still having issues on your government computer, try accessing the page through a personal computer. Feel free to reach out to [email protected] with any technical questions.

What if I can’t attend the Workforce Summit every day?

We encourage you to join us each day of the Workforce Summit! In the event, that you miss some of the event programming, each Summit session will be recorded. As an event registrant, you will have on-demand access to all of the session recordings.

What is the dress code for February 9, the in-person day of the Workforce Summit?

GovExec is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. In order to receive full credit as an in-person attendee you must attend for at least 50 minutes. In order to receive full credit as a digital attendee, you must tune in for at least 50 minutes and respond to three engagement checkpoints per 50 minutes of programming.

Participants will earn up to 9 CPE credits in Personnel/Human Resources. Participants will earn 1 CPE credit for each 50 minutes of participation. Digital attendees will need to engage with three engagement checkpoints per 50 minutes.
