Of the groups most heavily affected by the COVID pandemic, few have seen a greater shift in their roles, responsibilities, and daily lives than government employees. For some, the changes have been as small as working from a new location. For others, as dramatic as rethinking their entire role and responsibilities. The unifying factor, however, is the sheer scope of issues at hand: what it means to be in public service has grown exponentially, and so often, the understanding of what that requires has not followed.
In this three-day Summit, Government Executive, Nextgov, FCW, GCN, Washington Technology and Route Fifty welcome you to a week-long exploration into this complex issue, where we’ll examine the past, present, and future of public sector employment. Covering everything from management, digital tools, technology modernization, benefits, and pay to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across organizations of all shapes and sizes, our journalists, guests, and panelists will examine what it means to be a civil servant in these turbulent times, and learn how leaders are developing solutions for the challenges that lie ahead.
